Characterisation of the n_TOF 20 m beam line at CERN with the new spallation target

The n_TOF facility hosts CERN’s pulsed neutron source, comprising two beam lines of different flight paths and one activation station. It is based on a proton delivered by the PS accelerator impinging lead spallation target. During Long Shutdown 2 (LS2) at CERN (2019-2021), major upgrade target was carried out in order to optimize performances beam. Therefore, characteristics experimental areas were investigated detail. In this work, focus second area (EAR2), located 20 m above Preliminary results energy distribution line resolution are presented, compared previous campaigns Monte Carlo simulations with FLUKA code. Moreover, preliminary spatial profile measurements shown.

abstract in this thesis at first we comput the determinant of hankel matrix with enteries a_k (x)=?_(m=0)^k??((2k+2-m)¦(k-m)) x^m ? by using a new operator, ? and by writing and solving differential equation of order two at points x=2 and x=-2 . also we show that this determinant under k-binomial transformation is invariant.
